神経を抜かない方向で治療していただくことは可能でしょうか？
- １ヶ月半前に右上の奥歯の治療を他院でしました。
治療前は痛みもなく、他の歯の治療で見つけていただきました。
虫歯が思ったより深かったようで、神経ギリギリまで削ったのですが、その日から極端に冷たい物、温かい物が染みるようになりました。
治療2.３日間は何も食べずもキンッと響くような痛みがありましたが、それ以降は食事以外で痛むことはなくなりました。
しかし、食事で痛みが出るストレスが私的にかなり大きく、ナーバスになることが増えました。
ですが、まだ20代ということもあり、神経を抜きたくありません。
（今までに虫歯で３番神経を抜いています）毎日、ブルーな気持ちで生活するもの嫌気がさしてきて、いっそ神経を抜こうと思うこともありますが、やはり今通ってる歯科医院でも、出来るだけ神経を抜かない方がいいと言われ、染み止めの薬を塗って終わりです。
治療前みたいに、食事の際も痛みがでず、神経を抜かない方向で治療していただくことは可能でしょうか。。

ご相談の件ですが…直接拝見しておりませんので現在の当該歯の状態詳細分かりかねますが…もしお越しくだされば、診査•診断の上、できる限り神経を取らずにお悩みが解決できるよう、最善を尽くして治療に臨ませていただきます。
ですが…やむを得ず神経を取ることが、現時点で選択し得る最良の選択肢となる可能性も否定できないことは、頭の片隅に置いておいていただけませんか。
もちろん、「取らずに済むなら歯の神経を残しておいた方がいい」。それは間違いございません。
一方、歯は噛んで(咀嚼して)、食べ物を美味しく食べることができて(そのことが食欲も促進します)、次の段階で胃で消化しやすく、さらには腸で吸収しやすく、最終的に排泄しやすくするためにあります。逆に申し上げれば、うまく咀嚼できていない食物は、消化不良、吸収不良に繋がります。咀嚼〜排泄の流れが真っ当にできることは、体の恒常性…身も心も健やかに、平穏無事に居られる状態…を維持するための重要な基本です。これを要約して、医療専門用語を排除して申し上げれば…歯は、「美味しく食べて健康を維持するという、この上ない幸せの基本」を手に入れるためのトップバッターです。
いまあなた様が誰よりそれを実感されているのではと推測しますが、たった一本不調な歯があるだけで、その歯を庇うために咀嚼効率が著しく低下し、うまく噛めず、食事も楽しくなく、大きなストレスになることことがあります。そのような状態では、歯の痛みのみならず全身的にも、他の不調を生じかねません(申し上げるまでもありませんが、食欲不振による栄養不良やストレスによる体力低下•免疫力低下は様々な病の元となり得ます)。
歯の神経を取るというのはあくまで「治療」の一手段であり、それを行うと…極端な話ですが…明日歯がダメになる、というものでは有りません。もしそうなら歯の神経を取る治療は存在せず、初めから抜歯すればいいということになってしまいます。その治療を行うことで、放置するとそれこそ抜歯に発展しかねない歯の寿命を現状より伸ばしたり、現時点で歯として十分に機能していない歯の健康を回復するために行うものです。
駄洒落ですが、私はお口の健康が損なわれている状態を「不歯合わせ(ふしあわせ)」と言ったりします。楽しく、美味しく、何の躊躇いもなく噛めるということは、実は日常生活の中でとてつもなく大きなストレス解消になっています。このことは、お口が健康な状態の時は意識しないけれど、不自由が出てくると皆さん実感されます。
歯の神経を取らないことを最優先するばかりに、お口全体…「口腔」としての機能を全うできない状態に陥ったり、ひいては心身の不調を招く事態に発展してしまっては本末転倒…より大きな健康への悪影響を招く、かもしれません。
繰り返しますが、歯の神経を「できるだけ」取らないことはとても大切な考え方であり、私達歯科医療従事者はもちろんそのことを、一番熟知しているつもりです。そして、歯を大切にしたいというあなた様の想いもとてもよく分かります。
ですが、最善を尽くしても改善が見られない、もしくは症状が悪化していく場合は…ご自身の全身としての健康…心身共に健やかに過ごせる別の選択と秤にかけることも、一つの考えです。
